Image Banks Google Photos, Pixabay and Flickr The first task required from Thing 3, Image Banks, is to show that I used Pixabay, Google Photos and Flickr . CC0 Creative Commons I love using Google Photos as the filter tools are great, especially the usage rights and SafeSearch filters. I found using Flickr a bit trickier. Firstly, I had to set up an account with Yahoo.com and any time I used an image from Flickr, the photographer must be credited using the Creative Commons licence code, for example, The Beckett Bridge at Sunset , photo below from Flickr in an Engineering Libguide....

'Goodbye Christopher Robin'

with Domhnall Gleeson and Will Tilston Photograph: Allstar/Fox Searchlight I though 'Goodbye Christoper Robin' was going to be a heart-warming story about the honey-bear, Winnie the Pooh, sweet Piglet, grumpy Donkey and of, course bouncy Tiger. The film was inspired by A.A. Milne's own son, Christopher Robin (CR) Needless to say, my knowledge of CR's family background was non existent before the movie. For me, it was a sad film. A.A. Milne (Dad) was largely detached and damaged from his his time served in the First World War suffering ongoing paralyzing flashbacks relating to his time in battle in the First World War. His mother, a socialite, had little interaction with Christopher. Nanny, Olive, was the only light in the movie and Christopher remained friends with her right through out his life. Patti Cake$ Movie

I absolutely love escaping to the cinema. I use the word 'escape' because for me, a cinema outing is a type of escape or 'breaking free' and being completely distracted from my routines and my realities and immersed in other worlds. I like many types of movies and this is part of the movie thrill for me - as long as the acting is fine and the storylines are good. The last movie I saw was Patti Cake$. It wasn't what I expected, a bit dreary and brutal in parts. I didn't pay enough attention to the reviews. The movie is about Patricia DomBrowski, also called Patti Cake$ or Killa P, who lives in a downtrodden part of New Jersey and dreams of becoming rap music's Next Big Thing. Her home life is dead beat, with alcoholic mother Barb and she takes terrible jobs in bars and restaurants. The ending is redemptive.
